| The Chamber, which was incorporated in 1959, has a Board of Directors consisting of 22 members and the Chamber President. From the 22 Board Members, an Executive Committee is elected that consists of the Chairman, the Chairman-Elect, the Immediate Past Chairman, the Secretary/Treasurer, a Board Representative, and the Consulting Attorney. To give a perspective of the growth that Brandon
and the Chamber have experienced: • The population of the Brandon area has grown from approximately 103,000 in 1990 to approximately 160,000 in 2000 (55% increase) • The membership of the Chamber has almost doubled in the past 10 years growing from approximately 990 members to slightly less than 1,800 today. • The Brandon Area DirectoryTM has increased from 660 pages to 944 pages (43% increase) • The staff has grown from 15 to 22 (40% increase)
